Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Altina handles information when you use the app.
Altina is designed to help you keep track of items that need regular replacement. In most cases, the information you enter in Altina is stored on your device. If you enable iCloud, your data may also sync through Apple's iCloud services associated with your Apple ID.
Information You Provide
When you use Altina, you may choose to add:
- Item names
- Categories
- Replacement dates
- Reminder preferences
- Notes or other item details
- Photos you attach to items
You control what information you enter into the app.
How Altina Uses Information
Altina uses your information only to provide the app's core features, such as:
- Showing your tracked items and replacement timeline
- Organizing items by category
- Identifying whether items are healthy, expiring soon, or overdue
- Sending reminder notifications when you ask the app to do so
- Syncing your data with iCloud, if enabled on your device
Altina does not require you to create a separate Altina account to use these features.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Altina may request permission to send local notifications on your device. These notifications are used only to remind you about item replacement dates based on the settings you choose.
You can manage notification permissions at any time in your device settings.
iCloud Sync
If iCloud is available and enabled for Altina on your device, your app data may be stored and synced through Apple's iCloud services. Apple may process this information according to its own terms and privacy policy.
If you do not want to use iCloud sync, you can disable iCloud for Altina in your device settings.
Data Storage and Retention
Item data is generally stored until you delete it, remove the app, or disable synced storage where applicable.
If you delete an item in the app, it should no longer appear in your active data. Data synced through iCloud may remain temporarily in Apple's systems according to Apple's retention practices.
Third-Party Services
Altina may rely on Apple services that are necessary for the app to function on iPhone or iPad, such as:
- Notifications
- Photo access, if you choose to add item photos
- iCloud sync, if enabled
Altina does not sell your personal information.
Children's Privacy
Altina is designed for a general audience. It does not require users to create a separate account, and it is intended to store item information that users choose to add for app functionality.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information in a way that raises a privacy concern, please contact us and we will review the request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
